Hey all you beautiful people. So, as with many of the

things we create, Stacey had an idea to give her indoor cats an

outdoor place to play. So she threw all these crazy, inspired

ideas my way, and I’m the one that gets to make it happen. So,

let me take you on a little tour. This is phase one. begins with

stairs to the tunnel entrance. We made these from prunings that

we found on the property and cedar planks we rescued from the

landfill. Not supposed to do it, didn’t anyway. In order to

create the entrance we had to rebuild the header above the

door so the house doesn’t collapse. And since there was

extra space, why not one of Stacey’s faux stained glass

pieces with a custom mahogany jamb.

This is where the tunnel comes out of the house.

It leads to these three Japanese pagoda inspired parapets, the

temple of love, the Temple of magic and alchemy, and the Temple

of Divine Wisdom.

We put in three trap doors for easy cleaning, and of course

installed LED Smart lights which can be controlled from Stacy’s

phone.

And now we reach the shrine of the animals. This is a kittie

play place complete with Redwood roofing and places to climb and

jump and scratch, mostly made from leftovers from other

projects.

And of course what animal shrine would be complete without a
