How do I charge my universal diffuser base?

Charging your diffuser is easy. Plug the included USB-micro-B power cord into the port on the back of your universal diffuser base, and then plug the cord into any USB adapter, computer, portable charger, or any other power source. The unit will be optimally charged using a (3.7V/6000mAh) source. The function lights on the front of the universal base will flash while the unit is charging. When the battery is fully charged all four function lights will remain lit indicating charging is complete.

Why do I get a USB power cord without an adapter?

In an effort for Align Gemstone Diffusers to reduce waste and keep things out of our landfills we have decided not to include an adapter. These adapters are very common and most of us have them in abundance.

How do I turn on and use the mist and light functions of my universal base?

The two buttons on the universal base are touch sensitive. The right touch controls the duration of time that the mist is on. By tapping the mist control you can cycle through for continuous, every 10 seconds, 1 hour, 2 hours, and then off. The indicator light on the front of the base will illuminate accordingly. The left touch controls the LED light. The first tap automatically rotates through all 16 colors, and each additional tap lets you select and remain on a color of your choice, the last tap turning the light off. The light can be used without the mist, vice versa, or both together.

What kind of water should I use in my diffuser?

We recommend using distilled or filtered water. While tap water can be used, over time it will create mineral build up in the water reservoir reducing the mist strength and making the unit more difficult to clean.

How do I clean my universal base ultrasonic diffuser?

Follow these steps to easily clean your universal base:
1. Turn off and unplug the universal base
2. Fill the water reservoir halfway to the max line with filtered or distilled water
3. Run the diffuser on continuous for 5 minutes
4. Pour out the water and dry the reservoir with a non-shedding cloth
5. Clean the ultrasonic plate with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol, making sure to remove any essential oil build up
6. Rinse the reservoir again with filtered or distilled water

How much essential oil do I use?

The easy answer is that you don’t need very much. 2-4 drops of your favorite essential oil is enough for a noticeable scent. If you are mixing essential oils it is likely that you may use more drops to get the specific aromatic combination you want. Honestly, the amount of essential oil you use is up to you, but we recommend using no more than seven drops.

How do I know my universal diffuser base paint won’t degrade over time?

We use an anti-corrosive, oil based paint that is specifically designed to protect the base from water and essential oil erosion.

Can I use the diffuser even if I don’t use essential oils?

Even if essential oils are not your thing these diffusers can be enjoyed as a work of art, a light for atmosphere during the day or a night light, a small humidifier without the oils, or any other use that Aligns your light!

Do all of the universal bases look the same?

All of our universal bases are painted individually giving each a one of a kind look. This is done through a technique called hydrographic printing, also known as water transfer printing. To achieve the individuality of each universal base we created a custom printing plate to achieve an authentic stone look. Each universal base is then hand-dipped in the hydrographic printing process.

Are these the only three toppers Align Gemstone Diffusers offer?

Not for long! The Rose Quartz Sphere, Juicy Amethyst Cluster, and Selenite Tower are the first in a long line of toppers that are currently being developed. The next three toppers are already in the design process, and we are considering a number of your favorite Gemstones including pyrite matrix, fluorite obelisk, clear quartz cluster, septarian flame, natural tiger’s eye, and several others. You will be able to collect these toppers just like you do your gemstone collection.

What is AGD?

AGD is an acronym for Align Gemstone Diffusers.

How long will my diffuser last on a single charge?

Your universal base, when fully charged, will run for a minimum of 4 hours when using the mist function by itself, or the mist and light functions together. The light function will run for a minimum of 24 hours when used by itself.

I filled my universal base with water and the mist is not very strong, why?

The most common reason for this issue is that you filled the reservoir above max line. Your ultrasonic diffuser is designed specifically to be used with 100ml or less of water. All you need to do to solve this issue is pour out some of the water.

My diffuser mist function won’t stay on, why?

The most common reason is because your reservoir has no water in it. The mist function will automatically turn off when it is empty to protect the ultrasonic plate. Make sure you check that there is water in the reservoir each time you go to use your diffuser mist function. The second most common reason is that the battery is dead and needs to be charged. If the battery is completely drained you will need to charge the universal base for five minutes before trying to use it. You can use mist function while the diffuser is charging.

Do I add the water or essential oils to my diffuser reservoir first?

Add the water first, then your essential oils. Adding the essential oil first can negatively impact the ultrasonic plate’s ability to function optimally

What kind of oils can I use in my universal base?

Any kind of essential oils can be used, but of course, we recommend Inshallah Essential Oils! It is best to use 100% pure, additive, preservative, and alcohol free essential oils whenever possible. Do not use any essential oil mixed with a carrier oil like coconut, jojoba, or avocado oils, because it will clog the ultrasonic device and make cleaning more difficult.

Why did I get a straw in my package?

The purpose of the straw is to ensure your diffuser maintains the most optimal mist when it is running. Each topper has its own specific size straw. However, in the case of the Rose Quartz Sphere a straw is not needed. While you do not have to use the straw, its use is recommended to get the best experience when using your Align Gemstone Diffuser. Check out our how to videos for more information.

How does an ultrasonic diffuser work?

Align Gemstone Diffusers use ultrasonic technology. As an electric ultrasonic diffuser, it dispenses essential oils into the air through vibrations of a plate which causes ultrasonic waves, creating microscopic particles of oils that are dispersed into the air. The resulting aromatic mist has a second benefit as a small humidifier. Ultrasonic diffusers are especially safe for in-home use.

How did you make each topper look like real gemstones?

Like all Gemstones and crystals, each of our toppers has its own unique appearance. First, each topper was hand sculpted in clay until the specific stone’s shape and details were perfect. Once the clay sculpture was completed a rubber mold was cast, and this mold was then used to create each topper. Finally, the resin for each topper is individually hand-poured in small batches to ensure quality and uniqueness.
