Welcome to the oil dome. Two oils go in, a
0:06
rollerball comes out! Why, Hello! Fancy meeting you here.
0:16
Well, it’s my living room. Well, it’s my front room where I store
0:21
my oils that are ready to be sold and go to your house.
0:25
They’re waiting for you. But Hello, welcome, welcome to my
0:30
world.
0:32
You may not want to ever leave Inshallah Essential Oils come from
0:36
Aswan, Egypt, and they are pure essential oils. So there’s no
0:40
additives, no pure… puratives? That’s not right. There’s no
0:45
additives, preservatives, that’s the word. There’s no
0:51
preservatives and there’s no carrier oils already added.
0:53
Let’s start with what you need to make a rollerball, okay.
0:57
First, you need your essential oil. I’m going with Nefer
1:00
today. This is actually one of my newer oils that I just got in
1:04
last month. Last month being December 2022. I have got to
1:09
smell it as I bottled it for you guys, but I have not got to play
1:14
with it. So I’m actually making this rollerball for me. So I’m
1:18
very excited. This gave me an excuse to make one for myself.
1:21
Although I get to bathe myself in essential oils whenever I
1:24
want, which is awesome. Freaking awesome! Supplies, you need your
1:31
oil, your essential oil, you need a carrier oil. I have four
1:35
here, just so you can see the color, the texture, the
1:40
thickness of the different carrier oils. I’m gonna do this
1:43
just for fun. See that. Aren’t these gorgeous. These
1:50
carrier oils are not the only ones you can use. And actually,
1:53
I have a video that you can take a look at, that talks about
1:57
different carrier oils I use and why I choose them depending on
2:01
what my goal is with the essential oil. Today, we’ve got
2:05
options of coconut, argan, rose hip, and jojba. Did I get
2:14
that right? I’m not even going to cheat and look. I’m gonna
2:17
guess that I’m right. So once you have your essential oil and
2:20
your carrier oil, you’ll need what you’re going to put it in.
2:23
This is my rollerball. I’ll show it to you, see. And then you need
2:32
your funnel, your essential oil bottle opener, and a pipette.
2:41
And this is to do it my way. There might be other ways to do
2:44
it, that you don’t need necessarily some of these
2:47
supplies, but I like to make sure I get things just right.
2:51
And I do that with these tools. So let’s make one why don’t we.
2:57
So, I take the roller ball. If I was making this for you guys to
3:00
sell, I would be wearing gloves and I’d have my hair back
3:04
because I don’t want… I don’t like cross contamination of
3:07
oils. I don’t want… I don’t want to introduce any impurities
3:12
into the rollerball that I’m making for you. But since I’m
3:15
making it for myself, and I want to look cute on video because my
3:19
hair back isn’t as cute as my hair down, I’m not doing that
3:23
today.
3:24
So don’t judge me. You can judge me. I don’t care. But don’t
3:30
judge me. That’s not cool. I don’t judge you. Just, I don’t.
3:36
But I’m just playing. So first you got to take the top off the
3:40
rollerball, and put it here. Oop, I’ll just put that right there. And then I put my
3:48
essential oil first, this… Look at that it rolled right off. Why?
3:52
Because it’s a frickin rollerball. I prefer to put my
3:55
essential oils in first and then my carrier oil and second. I
3:59
think I told you guys today I’m gonna go with an Nefer.
4:02
So let’s open this bad boy up.
4:09
I never get tired of smelling essential oils. I just… each one
4:13
is just so amazing. So you could drop this in here however many
4:20
drops you want to do. I don’t like that way for me because I
4:26
get impatient. And I like to put about 20 drops in. And so I’m
4:31
sitting here and then I shake it in a drop flies to the right, and
4:35
goes all over the place. So I use my carrier… essential oil
4:39
bottle opener, and I pop the top,
4:43
right. And I don’t want to get it on anything. So I kind of
4:47
just put the top in there. Right.
4:51
Then I take my pipette and I siphon out what I think I need.
4:58
I’m gonna put 20 drops.
5:10
I think that was 21. But that’s okay. So how much you put in is
5:16
really up to you and the level, the strength you want in the
5:20
scent. You don’t need a lot, you could put 10 drops. And now
5:25
I’m going to put the lid back on my oil so that we don’t have any
5:29
issues later about spilling it because I tend to do that. 10
5:35
drops would be fine. 30 drops is fine. I like putting in an
5:39
amount that is definitely going to make it strong but not
5:42
overpowering. Once I’ve got the oil in, I use my little funnel
5:47
and it doesn’t fit in the hole the way so you definitely
5:50
have to hold on to it and then I decide which carrier oil. Today I
5:55
am going to try argan. Now let’s see if I chose correctly.
6:02
Winning, winning, winning.
6:06
Got to take them where you get them. The reason I’m choosing Aragon
6:10
purely today is because actually our argan came in my new… the
6:15
latest batch of oils I brought back from Egypt. And I’m curious
6:20
how it does as a carrier oil. I’ve heard some really good
6:23
things about it. And I heard it’s really good for your skin,
6:25
so I wanted to give our gonna try. Oh, did you see that? Look
6:29
at that. Okay, so I’ll hold it…
6:39
and I fill it up to where the bottle starts to round over.
6:45
Right there. Ooh, look at that, I dropped. But I finished pouring so
6:51
we’re gonna go with this, okay.
6:54
Put that bad boy back. So I don’t know if you can see on the
6:59
camera. Let me put the roller ball on and then I will put it
7:03
sideways.
7:07
Okay. Put the lid on, and then shake it. Can you see that? It’s
7:15
all, it’s all mixed. Looks like it mixed really well. I’ve never
7:22
mixed.. I haven’t mixed argan and Nefer together. And
7:26
then let’s give it a shot. Let’s try it. Let’s see how it’s
7:30
doing. Oh, that smells good.
7:36
So I’m just putting it on my wrist to feel the texture, like
7:39
perfume. Okay, so my first so my first, hmm, so my first impression is that it feels
7:49
really good. But I don’t know… because none of the carrier oils
7:56
really have a scent, but they’re an oil so they’re going to have
7:59
their own distinct… mmm, I don’t want to call it a scent, but
8:05
their own distinct smell, I guess even if there is no scent.
8:10
And I don’t know if argan is the best partner to Nefer for
8:17
scent. Now, it feels really good. And skin wise, this is a really
8:21
good combination, like for skincare routine. But I think we
8:25
should make another one. I think we should make one with Nefer
8:30
and a different carrier oil and see what that smells
8:34
like. But let me get a paper towel first and wipe this up.
8:37
Hi! Part two, making a roller ball. So for those of you just
8:42
watched or watch the previous video, we made a roller ball
8:46
with Nefer and argan, and it smells really nice. I like… the
8:53
texture of argan is a little thicker than I think I want
8:56
because I was going to use this roller ball as kind of a perfume
8:59
roller ball. So not necessarily a skincare roller ball. So I
9:05
wanted a little bit thinner, thinner so that rolls on easier
9:09
and I get more coverage. So I thought we would try Nefer
9:12
again with a different carrier oil. Okay, can you guess which
9:17
carrier oil I’m going to use before I pick it? I’m thinking…
9:24
I got it. You sure?
9:26
I’m gonna do coconut oil.
9:27
Now coconut oil, some people are allergic to so you wouldn’t use
9:32
fractionated coconut oil, you would use something like jojoba
9:36
but what I like about coconut oil is it’s a lot thinner. See
9:39
that? See that? See that? It’s thinner. Let me show you, than
9:43
argan. I don’t know if the camera picks up how much it
9:47
holds onto the wall of the glass. See that? See that line versus
9:53
this one? And it doesn’t. So I think this will give me the
9:58
texture I’m looking for more. So we’re gonna make a second roller
10:01
ball. I’m gonna take my roller ball
10:09
and put it in the cap because it rolls away every time. Okay, so
10:14
we’re gonna go with an Nefer. Now this is why I use a pipette.
10:17
So now you could sit here, and you could drip out as many of
10:21
these drops as you want, ooh, here comes one.
10:37
So that just happened, and I didn’t expect it to happen. The
10:42
reason I normally use the pipette is especially, some of our
10:46
oils from Inshallah are thicker. And the reason they’re
10:49
thicker is there’s no additives, there’s no preservatives, and
10:52
there’s no carrier oils already added into the oil. So in their
10:56
pure state, just like any other liquid, every liquid has its own
11:00
thickness, or
11:02
viscosity, I think is the word.
11:06
And so for the thicker oils, I don’t like to sit here and wait
11:11
for the drops to come out, I get impatient. And then if I shake
11:14
it in and drops fly this way or that way I get annoyed. So let
11:18
me just show you what I do, even though this bottle works
11:21
perfectly just for me… is if it didn’t come out so great, what
11:26
I would do is I would take the top off, right. And then I would
11:32
use my pipette. I’m gonna show you this anyways, I’m just not going to
11:35
do it. I use my pipette, I take out what I need, I put in my drops,
11:42
and then I will close up my bottle again. So again, you don’t have
11:46
to use the pipette. As you saw, I can just drip it out of the
11:48
bottle, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But I’ve made
11:53
enough roller bottles in the world, in my life, that different
12:00
viscosities, different thicknesses of different oils
12:03
sometimes make it a little more challenging than I have patience
12:06
for. So I put 20 drops in, and you can put as many drops in as you
12:11
want. The actual scent will not be depleted. But how strong is
12:17
in the mixture that you’re making is really what dictates
12:20
how many drops you want. 10 drops is plenty. And I think on
12:25
average, most essential oil companies that sell roller balls
12:31
probably do between 10 and 15 drops. I like to do between 20
12:34
and 25 drops when I make them for you guys. I like it a little
12:38
bit stronger. So now I’ve got my essential oil in there. I’ve got
12:43
my funnel, which you didn’t think we were going to use but
12:45
we are going to use it. And then I’m going to take my coconut oil,
12:49
which again is thinner
12:52
and We’ll hold this… I’m just gonna pour… now I pour until it
13:01
gets up to the round part, the rounded part of the roller
13:06
bottle and I’m gonna show you that. There you go. Thank you. I appreciate you
13:13
doing that so smoothly. So then I take this off…
13:20
drop it a little. Make sure you get every drop out that you can get
13:25
out. Put my rollerball on. And then my lid. So this is what you
13:33
got. Shake it up a little.
13:38
And there you go. Let’s see how this bad boy works.
13:43
Smells good. Now let’s see. Oh, yeah, see, I like that much
13:49
better.
13:51
Much better.
13:56
Oh, yeah, coconut oil was the way to go with Nefer for
13:59
what I’m looking for.
14:02
So there you go.
14:05
When you’re not using them, store them in a cool place.
14:07
Don’t store your roller bottles on their side. Some will leak.
14:12
And it has nothing to do with that the rollerball, or the
14:15
bottle itself has something wrong with it, but these
14:18
weren’t designed to be on their side for long periods of time,
14:22
so they will… some will drip out. And again, so here’s Nefer
14:28
with argan. Can you see that? And here’s Nefer with
14:31
coconut. See, you can even see that there’s a difference in
14:35
color. But you can also see, look at that. See how much thinner
14:40
this one looks than that one.
14:42
Like how quickly the water moves,
14:44
the oil moves (I said water).
14:49
This one would leak faster than this one if you
14:53
had your rollerball on its side.
14:55
So just make sure you store them upright. Keep them out of the
14:58
sun which is why We use colored bottles. And there’s your roller
15:03
ball. I hope you enjoyed. I hope you made one. If you didn’t, I
15:07
hope you do. And if you have any questions, let me know. Thanks!
