All right, we’re at the East Bank now. We just got off the boat. This is
0:04
that Luxor Temple that you saw from the water, and we’re
0:10
crossing the street. Joel is holding on to me to make sure
0:14
while I video that I do not get killed, because you could. So,
0:21
we’re gonna walk. So again, as in the first video, these
0:26
amazing Egyptian people get to live in their modern society
0:31
days next to some of the most amazing structures. I’m going to
0:37
show you it better in a second, I just got to get through this.
0:40
And some of them can do this. Joel has been practicing
0:43
carrying *meow on his head but his head is not flat enough yet.
0:47
It’s also this building, it’s a from 5000 years with inscriptions,
0:54
with pictures for gods and kings.
0:58
I want to stop at some of the… here we go. See the etching.
1:03
If one were to say the language, it’s heiroglyphics.
1:10
We call it hieroglyphs in English.
1:13
This temple built especially for the god Amun Ray, sun god. God of the
1:18
goddess, father for all the gods. Wow.
1:23
So we’re just walking down the street literally. Like there’s
1:25
the street, there’s the temple. There’s the street, there’s the
1:30
temple. Should we do again? There’s the street, there’s the temple. Oh,
1:37
there’s the tourists. So the one thing they do have here that
1:41
Joel and I obviously do not care for is they have the horse
1:45
carriages and they’re purely for the tourists. So not that anyone
1:50
would ever see this that like a PSA, but do not support and use
1:56
these horse carriages. Not that all these horses are mistreated,
1:59
but it’s just not cool. And some of them aren’t kept, taken care
2:04
of as well as they could be. I’m not gonna say anything more
2:07
about that. So yeah. Except, don’t *meow do it! Say it again Joel. Don’t *meow do it! That was awesome.
2:16
This is pretty much how our days go. We have a lot of fun. I will do a
2:21
video of Mumdor and Allah who work at the farm. Auf, Do you
2:25
want to say anything about the guys?
2:28
I hope to see everybody in Egypt and welcome anytime. I feel
2:33
you have a brother and family in Egypt.
2:38
Yeah, and the guys are the same. They’re very funny. They
2:41
don’t speak English as well. Although Allah’s English is
2:45
pretty good. He understands us. But it’s pretty cool. So this is
2:50
Luxor, people. Oh, and there’s… you saw this from the Nile.
2:56
Again, amazing that they just live, and then there’s the
2:59
street. But this is Luxor. We haven’t come over here very
3:05
much. I think this is our third time or fourth time. Third time.
3:09
And we like to come here but like we wanted some clothing,
3:13
these pantaloons that were so cool. And they were like 200
3:18
pounds here.
3:18
Well, Auf’s cousin is the one who supplies them and he’s on the
3:23
West Bank. So we went over there and we got pantaloons for like
3:26
60 pounds, which again is like four bucks or five
3:31
bucks, whatever. And Stacy bought like 1000 of them. No, it
3:35
was more like seven. How many scarves did you get? Three. Only
3:42
three.
3:43
So this is part of Luxor. I’ll show you the bazar part in a
3:46
second. And it’s not bizarre like crazy. It’s more like
3:50
bazar, like that’s where they sell stuff. So we’re gonna… and
3:55
then there’s the local stuff. Now you don’t see tuk tuks over
3:59
here. Once in a while, maybe, but you do see guys riding their
4:03
horses down the street. Like it’s… Who needs a tuk tuk when you’ve got a horse. Like it’s nothing. Okay, I
4:13
will do another video when something comes up. Oh, and
4:16
there’s McDonald’s, boo. Okay. We don’t eat there. Bye. Oh, we’re
4:22
in a taxi back to the ferry. And I just want to know, as this kid
4:26
is waving to us in the window, I want to know, how much money did
4:31
we spend today? 2600 Egyptian pounds. And what are we spending
4:36
our money on? Clothes, *meow*, and food. What kind of clothes?
4:41
Galabia! And what other?. And an Adidas sweatshirt. Why did we
4:44
need the Adidas sweatshirt? Because Stacey needed an Adidas
4:47
sweatshirt. Because she’s kind of a slut and walking around with
4:49
no clothes. What kind of *meow* are we buying? *meow*. *meow*. *meow*. Wow!
4:56
And what kind of food? Delicious food of all kinds. All right. All
5:02
right. Thank you, thank. We didn’t get beer though.
5:05
We’ll get that tomottow morning. We got a big day tomorrow morning. Okay.
5:09
I just wanted to know. We’ve got a big day tomorrow…
5:13
Oh my god.
5:14
I can’t handle this dude, sometimes. You can’t see it but,
5:18
this is my pink Adidas sweatshirt. Oh, wait, can you
5:20
see? It’s a knockoff, which makes it even better. Okay, so
5:24
it’s kind of dark. Sorry, if you can’t see say hi, Joel. Hi, Joel
5:28
Say hi Auf.
5:29
Hi, Auf. They’re all
5:31
smart asses. So we are now leaving the West Bank. We went
5:35
and looked for pet stores. We found a pet store that was
5:38
really upsetting. But we found some kitten food so we can sneak
5:43
the kitten onto the cruise with us. And something that will
5:46
substitute for a cat box. And then we went and ate which I
5:52
will attach that picture to one of the emails. We pigged, totally
5:57
pigged out.
6:00
And now… Gonna throw up. Yeah, my stomach has actually expanded in a way that
6:04
I don’t like. And now we are on the boat. I’m climbing over seats.
6:10
So you can see our way back. Don’t fall in! I won’t, maybe. So now we are on
6:16
our way back to the West Bank. There’s the moon, there’s the
6:23
moon. It’s beautiful out here. I don’t know how nice, how clear it
6:29
is. There’s some stars, there’s a little bit of overcast. But
6:34
those lights are the West Bank, you know, like port. There’s the
6:39
Nile up one way. And there’s the Nile the other way. And then
6:46
that’s the East Bank that we’re leaving. And it’s pretty amazing.
6:58
Okay, well, that oh, that’s our way. I might do another video on
7:04
our ride back but, we’ll see. I think Joel’s taking…. Oh, nope. He turned
7:08
on lights on the boat. That’s very nice. And, yeah, so we’ll
7:16
get on the motorbike. We’ll head back home. We have an early
7:19
morning. There is a place called ACE, Animal Care Egypt, it is on
7:26
the east bank. And they do… you know, they take care of mostly
7:30
horses and donkeys. But they do take care of cats and dogs as
7:34
far as like fixing them and giving shots. We have three
7:38
puppies at the house, two girls, two boys… one boy, and then a boy
7:42
kitten that all needs to be fixed. So tomorrow morning,
7:45
we’re taking the boy dog and the boy kitten to be fixed and
7:51
hopefully get their shots. And then I’m going to inquire about
7:54
finding if there’s possible adoption options for these
7:58
animals. Because there are nine dogs at the farm and they don’t
8:02
really need nine dogs at the farm. So that’s what we’re doing
8:05
tomorrow morning. So I hope you enjoyed the videos. I’m gonna
8:10
send these in separate emails so they go through. And Joel and I
8:15
will send more videos. Oh, maybe you’ll get to see them walking
8:18
from one boat to the next.
8:21
So we’re pulling up, so this is the port. Do you see the stairs?
8:26
So they do this regularly. So I’ll watch Joel do it first but,
8:30
basically they pull up to one boat.
8:33
They line it up, and then you go from one boat to the next to the
8:38
next till you get to where you’re going. Shokran! Thank
8:42
you! So there’s one boat. I almost stepped in the water, and
8:48
then we’re on the second boat and I’m on land again, or at
8:52
least on the dock. So we’re walking up.
8:56
There’s the moon again. Yesterday was a perfect ches…
9:01
cheshire moon. Joel took some pictures. And again I have
9:06
slipped walking up this as well
9:08
as down so I have to…
9:11
I haven’t fallen but, I have definitely slipped every time.
9:16
So we… You we’re slip free! I was slip free but I did slip on the way down. So this is
9:23
the center of the port. You know, there’s a coffee shop here Auf
9:27
likes to go to and have coffee and shisha. We feed kitties. We feed
9:32
kitties. Which, I will tell you that in general the animals
9:36
here are not overly abused. How do you say it? They, I mean the
9:44
cats are treated okay, the dogs are treated okay, in a general
9:48
sense. Obviously you get different people who have
9:51
different levels but, our experience has not been too
9:56
negative, except for that pet store today. Yeah! Which I had to
9:59
leave because I started crying Well, we won’t talk about that
10:03
anymore. So yeah, so now we’re gonna go get Auf’s bike, and if I
10:07
had to guess it’s up… Tuk Tuks! Oh, and oh there are tuck tuks. Look at
10:12
these tuk tuks everywhere. Uncircumsized tuk tuks. Yeah, we call the ones with roofs
10:16
uncircumcised tuk tuks, and then the ones without roofs,
10:20
like that one up there is circumcised. We talk about
10:24
this stuff every day. It’s freaking hilarious! And I would
10:28
bet the Auf’s motorbike is somewhere towards the front. If
10:33
I had to guess because like I said, when he parks his bike
10:37
here, they tend to… Auf, Auf knows everyone everywhere. It’s
10:44
kind of crazy. Oh, here show them my Adidas sweatshirt now. I
10:48
I got this knockoff, lovely knockoff, pink, with Adidas on the butt. Very excited. Thank you.
10:59
Oh, and I just want you to know that these things on my face are
11:02
not zits. I am being eaten by gnats every night. And I ended up
11:08
with… let me see if I can show you. West nile virus on my pinky. Look at that!
11:14
Okay, it’s not really west nile virus but, it feels like a
11:17
disease. Why am I videoing my mouth?
11:20
Oh my god.
11:22
I can’t send this video. All right, I’m turning this off. Say
11:27
anything
11:27
else. This is the last video in the night that we’re sending.
11:30
Anything else this is the last video of the night that we’re sending.
11:33
He’s such a smart ass. Bye.
11:35
Bye everyone. love you, love you. We are great. Mwah! Mwah! Bye.
